The Inspiration Behind Qissati Counselling

The word "Qissah" beautifully captures the essence of epic stories and folklore in over 27 languages. In Arabic, "Qissati" means "My story," highlighting our personal connections to the narratives that shape our lives. Choosing "Qissati" honors the rich tradition of storytelling and fosters meaningful connections across diverse cultures, making 'Qissati Counselling' a heartfelt choice for therapy rooted in diversity and multicultural understanding.

About Me

My name is Haajira, and I am a dedicated, qualified, and registered therapist whose journey is deeply rooted in my educational background in Traditional Islamic Sciences (Aalimiyyah). With over 15 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and pastoral care, I have passionately supported women and teenage girls in higher education and through community engagement.

Inspired to make a difference, I founded Qissati Counselling—a space built on compassion, understanding, and respect for every individual’s story.
